Samsung’s latest foldable release, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, has proven to be an instant hit in South Korea, with all units selling out shortly after its launch. The phone, which became available on October 25, sold out over the weekend, leaving Samsung to inform customers that the device is currently “out of stock” and being “prepared for future availability.”
Customers in South Korea can now sign up for restock notifications, indicating Samsung’s acknowledgment of the high demand.
Exclusive Package Contents
The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition offers more than the standard foldable experience. Each box includes the phone, a leather case, a USB-C cable, and a rare addition in today’s market—a 25W wall charger.
This is a unique choice for Samsung, especially since the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and other recent models generally do not include a charger in the box as a sustainability measure. This unexpected inclusion adds appeal to the Special Edition in the Korean market.
Premium Specs and Features
Available in a single Black Shadow color and featuring 16GB of RAM alongside 512GB of storage, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition carries a higher price tag, costing approximately $300 more than the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
Priced at 2,789,600 won (around $2,016), it offers premium enhancements such as a more robust camera setup, a wider design, and a thinner profile. The phone also features an improved display with a less noticeable crease, although it lacks S Pen support.
Limited Global Availability
The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition remains exclusive to South Korea, and Samsung has yet to announce plans for a broader release. However, those outside South Korea can still purchase the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which is widely available and often sold with promotional discounts, offering an accessible alternative to Samsung’s latest luxury foldable.
